Of the artist's many mythologies, Sławomir Witkowski seems closest to the Romantic consciousness, a crucial element of which is the "philosophy of illness." Witkowski draws the viewer into the game, presenting reality as pathological.

The book is part of a research project by Professor Sławomir Witkowski, carried out as part of the statutory activities of the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk and financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
